It's time to talk about Christmas Party Ideas.... in July.

It's July. In a heatwave. Nobody wants to think about Christmas Parties yet - but here we are.

Every year, brands & clients ask us the same question: "What can we do this Christmas that we haven't done before?"

The honest answer is: it depends on how far you want to take the story. Not every brand needs a built world. Some need a beautifully told moment.

Here's how we scale it.

1. Styled - the story unfolds at the table. Sometimes the room does the work. With Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, we moved dinner onto the stage of Sadler's Wells itself - guests seated where the choreography usually happens, each course landing like a new act. No performers weaving through the room, no built set. Just the right styling, the right pacing, and a room that already tells a story.

Best for: team dinners and client evenings.

2. Performed - a layer of performance lands the message. Sometimes the story needs a voice. Unwritten, our chaptered showcase event, moved guests through three narrative acts - Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow - with performance built in to carry the theme, not just decorate it. This is where a brand message stops being said and starts being shown.

Best for: brand storytelling, product launches, moments where you have something specific to land.

3. Immersed - building the world around your brand. And sometimes, the story needs its own universe. Nutcracker Noir turned Protein Studios into a darker, theatrical retelling of the Christmas classic. This is full-world-building: set, narrative, food, all constructed around a single story.

And like our activation with NatWest Venture Bank or Freshfields Anniversary Party, a brand story can be brought to life for one night - no permanent build required, just an immersive world that exists exactly as long as it needs to.

Best for: flagship moments and celebrations.

Whether it's dinner on the stage of Sadler's Wells, a chaptered showcase with performance woven through, or a fully built world like Nutcracker Noir - the format changes, but the principle doesn't.

Every Christmas moment we design starts with the same question: how deep into the story do you want your guests to go? It's July, which makes now exactly the right time to start your story.
