IMPACT FORUM 2026

THE HUMAN EDIT

Opening Scene

For the London Impact Forum 2026, TripleLift brought senior media leaders to The Garden Cinema for an afternoon exploring the human choices behind modern media.

We didn't want guests just to take their seats. They were invited to take part took part: cocktails matched to their decision-making style, a storytelling masterclass led by a Baroness and a comedy director, and a Hot Ones-style 'televised podcast' set up where senior leaders faced tough questions over ever-hotter bites.

The thinking behind it? Most client entertainment buys a table, a logo, a hospitality suite, which earns visibility, but not necessarily trust.

For the Impact Forum 2026, we wanted something more human, because at the end of the day we're all people with our own stories, and we have more in common than we think.

The Idea

We swapped passive hospitality for participation, and an agenda for a narrative.

Impact: The Human Edit explored the human judgment behind modern media. In a world of infinite content and automation, the edge is about knowing what deserves attention.

We borrowed the language of film to bring TripleLift's four commercial pillars to life:

  • The Script (Creative): what earns attention?

  • The Frame (Curation): where does a story become powerful?

  • The Room (Audience): who is it really for?

  • The Reviews (Measurement): how do we know it landed?

Then we staged it in a 1930s members' cinema, minutes from TripleLift's office, and structured the afternoon in four acts.

Act One

The Welcome

Guests arrived at a cinema concession stand, the Commerce Kiosk, and took a quick quiz: Which Commerce Character are you? Their answers generated a shopper profile and a cocktail to match.

The Impulse Buyer got Add to Basket (aperitivo, blood orange, grapefruit, sparkling wine).

The Deep Diver got 17 Tabs Open (yuzu, ginger and jasmine highball).

The Hard Sell got Convince Me (Lillet Blanc, white peach, Suze, lemon).

A drinkable demo of how behavioural signals become audience insight: TripleLift's world, in a glass.

Act Two

The Script & The Frame

Coloured lanyards split the room into two groups, rotating between two sessions.

In Screen 3, a Persuasion Academy masterclass on body language and comedic storytelling.

In the Atrium Bar, The Hot Seat: a televised, styled podcast where senior media leaders talked about the moments that shaped how they lead.

Three questions

Three bites.

Rising heat.

As the questions got sharper, so did the food, and guests added the heat themselves:

  1. Warming up: Welsh rarebit hash brown, with Aleppo chilli mustard

  2. Turn up the heat: mushroom bulgogi on sesame rice cracker, with gochujang chilli crunch

  3. The Hot Seat: crispy chicken taco, charred corn crema, with Scotch bonnet hot honey

Act Three

The Story Behind the Story

Everyone in the room has a story people know them by: a title, a company, a LinkedIn profile. This session went underneath. Three media professionals shared their second lives and the instincts those worlds taught them.

Food was pivotal. We built a dish around each speaker's story, so guests heard a story about the life behind the title, and tasted it too.

Jason Wescott, Global Head of Commerce at WPP, and DJ: from frugal vegan food on the road to the rather more extravagant lunches of media life.

Watermelon 'tuna' nigiri with chia seed caviar, vegan Kewpie mayo and pickled ginger.

Chanelle Urquico, International DSP Engagement Lead at TripleLift, and food blogger and podcaster: back to San Sebastián, where a birthday trip became one of her all-time favourite food memories.

Basque beef cheek, Rioja jus, smoked potato and guindilla.

Paul Chatwyn-Ros, Group Director, Investment & Intelligence EMEA at OMG, and wrestling writer: his New Orleans honeymoon, where the food was big and bold and the horseradish hot sauce stuck.

Crispy shrimp po' boy with horseradish, lime and slaw.

The Reviews

We closed like a film shoot: with a wrap party.

Guests gathered around the bar over signature cocktails and a film-inspired menu, swapping the conversations that had stuck with them and bringing The Human Edit to a close:

Pulp Fiction

Big Kahuna burger

Mini sesame brioche, smashed beef patty, American cheese, pickle & Big Kahuna sauce.

Barbie

Pink Perfection

Hot pink beetroot taco, whipped feta, watermelon radish, pink pickled onion & chilli.

Bond

Shaken, Not Stirred

Gin-cured salmon, vermouth crème fraîche, lemon & green olive on a crisp rye wafer.
