Opening Scene
What does it look like when the people behind the best television in the world sit down to eat together?

BBC Studios wanted to celebrate the writers, directors, producers, and talent that define their creative output - not in a boardroom, but in a gallery. A space where art surrounds the conversation, and the food matches the ambition of the room.
​
Feast + Fable was brought in to design a culinary experience that would move from refined daytime dining to an energised evening reception - all within a single gallery space, for up to 120 of the industry's most discerning guests.
The Plot
The day unfolded in distinct acts, each with its own mood and intention.
​
Arrival. Guests were welcomed into the main gallery with champagne and seasonal spritzers — elderflower and thyme, rhubarb and basil, cucumber and mint - setting a tone that was sophisticated without being stiff.
​
Seated Lunch. Sixty of the industry's top creative talent took their seats for a plated dining experience designed for conversation. Dishes built for flavour storytelling, with hand-selected wine pairings and a fully considered vegan menu. Sustainably sourced, low food miles, and MSC-certified seafood throughout.
​
Lower Gallery. As discussions moved downstairs, the pace shifted. A self-serve station of organic coffee, artisan teas, health juice shots, and sweet bites kept the energy going without interrupting the flow.

Golden Hour. At 6pm, the gallery transformed. Dining tables gave way to poseur tables, the room filled with evening light, and sixty new guests arrived. At the centre: a circular bar and a live chef's table.
​
Evening Service. Rising culinary talent Julie Lin hosted an interactive seasoning station - offering personalised flavour profiles, bespoke dressings, and a live sensory experience that turned canapés into conversation pieces. Her signature seasonal menu, developed in collaboration with the exec chef, gave the evening its creative edge.
The Finale
​From a quiet gallery lunch to a full evening reception, Feast + Fable designed a culinary journey that matched the creative ambition of the room - thoughtful, sustainable, and built to spark the kind of conversations that only happen around exceptional food.
For BBC Studios, the table became a creative space in its own right.
