Opening Scene

Inspire your audience. Show them the world.

When January skies turned grey, American Express wanted to remind cardholders that travel was just a few Avios points away.

 

In partnership with British Airways, the brand set out to banish the winter blues with an experience that transformed the concept of points redemption into an invitation to explore.

 

The goal: immerse existing and potential customers in a world of opportunity - proving that with the American Express / British Airways Credit Card, extraordinary destinations were closer than they thought.

The Plot

Guests of Escapology were invited to fly - or rather, climb, dance, and sing - their way through a series of immersive escapes.

 

This one-night-only sensory adventure transported travellers across Europe, all without ever leaving London.

 

The journey began at Global Concierge, a premium, slightly eccentric travel agency where adventure awaited behind every boarding pass. 

Zermatt – Escape through Adventure
Travellers scaled the mighty Matterhorn, journeying through the snow-capped peaks of Zermatt. 

Seville – Escape through Culture
From the Alps to Andalusia, guests stepped into the vibrant National Museum of Flamenco. A spirited dance instructor welcomed them to choose a costume, stamp their heels, and embrace the rhythm of Spain. 

Mykonos – Escape through Climate
The scene shifted to sun-drenched Mykonos, where the Taverna owner’s daughter greeted guests by the seaside. 

Budapest – Escape through Relaxation
At journey’s end, travellers found themselves in a Budapest ruin bar - a haven for unwinding and reflection. Some took the stage for an impromptu open mic session, while others melted into the glow of soft lights and mellow jazz, toasting to the adventures they’d shared.

Finally, the explorers were greeted once more by the Global Concierge team - and by British Airways American Express® brand ambassadors - to collect their keepsakes and return, happily disoriented, from their European escape.

The Menu

Each course was thoughtfully crafted to transport guests into the heart of each destination.

Zermatt – Escape through Adventure
A hearty Alpine delight featuring crisp rösti, Tête de Moine cheese, and warm glühwein.

Seville – Escape through Culture
A celebratory taste of Spain with traditional pintxos, capturing the spirit and rhythm of Andalusia.

Mykonos – Escape through Climate
A seaside sensation: lamb souvlaki–inspired salad that evokes the sun, salt, and serenity of the Aegean.

Budapest – Escape through Relaxation
A reimagined espresso martini with Patrón PX, molasses sugar syrup, and smoked milk foam—rich, smooth, and indulgent.

The Finale

By weaving live performance, culinary storytelling, and meticulous event design, Feast & Fable turned travel inspiration into a sensory experience.

Each journey celebrated the limitless possibilities of American Express Avios - connecting imagination with reality through sight, sound, taste, and touch.

The result was more than a product showcase; it was an invitation to escape, reimagine, and explore. Through shareable content and post-event storytelling, the campaign continued to inspire travellers long after the final destination.
